Abstract
A feasibility test for the automation of immunoassay was studied using the flow-analysis system. Flow-injection liposome immunoanalysis (FILIA) for the quantification of potato glycoalkaloid was investigated with solanine as a model analyte. For the FILIA of solanine, a calibration curve with a dynamic working range of 0.1 to 50ppb was generated. Each analysis run involved antigen-antibody interaction, signal generation and antigen-antibody dissociation followed by antibody regeneration and lasted less than 13 min. The speed and sensitivity of FILIA suggest broad applications in the automation of immunoassay, particularly when a large number of samples of a limited sample size need to be tested.
